A critically-acclaimed R&B icon co-headlining one of the coolest tours of the year: The Kali & Jorja Tour.
⇩
I first started working with Kali back in early 2018. Back then she was getting ready to release Isolation, her first album which enjoyed rave reviews by fans and music critics alike. Her being such an authentic and creative artist, I was thrilled to be a part of this project. Less than a week later I was already mixing my first show with her: a pre-Coachella sold-out show in LA prior to her performance at that year’s festival the following week.
After touring Isolation and doing a load of summer festivals it had already been a year when this co-headline tour with Jorja Smith was announced. We then headed to Rock Lilitz for production rehearsals and there we got to meet and join forces with Team-Jorja who proved to be some of the kindest and most professional bunch of people I’ve had the chance to work with. Tour got off to a great start and it all turned out to be a memorable spring run with great music and new friends.

Tech Specs
Clair was our Audio vendor which is always a luxury to have and they provided a great control Package. Most of the venues we did were theaters or small arenas so we didn’t end up carrying a PA.
Processing
Waves was doing most of the processing for this tour via MultiRack SoundGrid. I also experimented with a few guitar pedals, especially for the vocal effects as I wanted to bring in a distinctive sound for the reverb and delays.
